Creative PAW: Creative Professionals for Animal Welfare

Southern Maine Pit Bulls (SOME Pit!) is looking for a volunteer graphic designer or illustrator to create a logo. Here’s the info from the founder:

We’re looking for a graphic designer/illustrator to create a logo for our group Southern Maine Pit Bulls (SOME Pit!).

SOME Pit! works with Southern Maine residents, rescues, and shelters to promote responsible breed ownership through education and awareness events, breed ambassador programs, and training. Our goal is to reduce the suffering of pit bulls and pit mixes by assisting dog owners with problems they encounter, while simultaneously educating the public about this misunderstood breed.

SOME Pit! is working towards opening people’s eyes and hearts to pit bulls in our community with the hope that, one day, the positive image of pit bulls will be restored and pit bulls will once again be treasured family pets.

You can find out more about us at: www.somepit.org and on Some PIt!’s facebook page.

If anyone is interested, please contact Jessica at jessica@somepit.org.

Thanks so much!

Hi, Volunteers! Freedom Train Animal Rescue Transports is looking for a volunteer PR person to help publicize an event. Here’s the info from the founder:

I am the founder of Freedom Train Animal Rescue Transports www.freedomtraintransports.com and am in the process of organizing a large event called The Blue Suede Paws Tour at our local airport next month. Proceeds from the event will mainly go to the local shelter here with some benefiting the Freedom Train. Would it be possible for some of the PR volunteers to help get the word out about the event?

If you’re interested in volunteering for this project, please contact Rhonda Sims at getshelterpets@yahoo.com. She can send you a flyer to give you a better idea about the event. Thanks so much!

Second Acts has gotten a great logo thanks to one of our volunteers! Now they’re looking for a volunteer public relations professional. Here’s the e-mail:

Second Acts is a non-profit fundraising organization that distributes 100% of all donations received to small, volunteer-run animal rescue groups nationwide which adopt a no-kill policy. All groups receiving funds must be registered as 501(c)(3) organizations. In less than two years, we have donated $250 each to groups in all 50 states.

We are seeking an individual who can provide assistance to us with Public Relations as we continue to build the organization and create awareness within the local community and nationally.

To learn more about us, please watch our YouTube promotional video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QylWSaGTsdE&fmt=18.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Michael S. Brown
Founder and CEO
