Tara from Blankets for (Fur) Babies is looking for a volunteer web designer and someone to help with fundraising. Here’s her message:

We provide blankets for shelters around the country. We desperately need some fundraising help, possibly a web designer, and someone to get donations for us. I have 5 - 6 volunteers, but to become what I would like this organization to become will take a lot more than that! If I could get donations of fleece material, I could go all out on making blankets!

Jean Gilles at Northern Illinois Samoyed Assistance is looking for a web designer with Javascript experience to help her load a slide show to the org’s website. Here’s her letter:

I’ve been struggling with dynamic designs free java script coding to place a photo slide show of our recent events on the NISA website. The main problem is 1) I don’t understand the code to know: 2) where to store the pictures, 3) how to name them or 4) the file extensions needed to make any of the pictures show up on the live page. Would any of your volunteer web designers help me accomplish this feat?

Briana White, who is with the Air Force serving in Iraq, is looking for information on how to set up a program to help stray animals in Iraq. Here’s her e-mail:

Hello, my name is Briana and I’m with the United States Air Force currently serving in Iraq. Since I have been here I have noticed a lot of stray dogs and other animals that I would like to help but right now the rules prevent me from doing so because of the diseases they carry. I have yet to talk to my leadership about my plan so I send this email to see what kind of support I might be able to receive. Examples of things that would provide useful are worm medicine, food, flea treatment and other simple medications. If you happen to know a website that I can look at for standard animal care it would also be appreciated.
