I just received this e-mail from the Animal Adoption League:
Hi Linda,
I wanted to let you know what a positive experience the Animal Adoption League has had with CreativePAW. Back in June, we submitted a request for help with a newsletter. Almost immediately, I started getting responses. The first was from Sydney, Australia. And then another came in and then another. I think my 6th or so response was from a woman named Liz. She sent me some mock-up newsletters and I really liked the look of them. She was “the one”. I sent notes back to everyone thanking them for offering to help.
Liz dove right in to creating our newsletter. I sent her samples of ones we had done in the past so she could get a feel for who we were. We definitely wanted something new but with enough shades of our old newsletter so that people would know it was still us.
After corresponding with Liz for a few weeks, we started to tell each other little things about each other – how many pets we have, what we do for a living, where we live, etc. Turns out she’s in New Zealand! Who would have thought! And honestly, that was the reason I decided against the volunteer in Sydney because of the vast time difference. Well, Liz could have been living 30 minutes away for all I knew . . . working together has been effortless.
Our Fall newsletter is nearly done . . . I’ll be doing the final edit this weekend. We are thrilled to be able to start sending it out once again and Liz has already started gathering things for the Winter Edition.
I feel like the creation and continuation of this newsletter is something that’s absolutely crucial to us as a Rescue in order to get our name out / keep in touch with people who’ve adopted from us. But we’ve also made a new good friend who just happens to live on the other side of the world.
Many thanks to you and CreativePAW.
Regards,
Karen Hjerpe – President

I just received this letter from Lynn Wiley at the City of Sacramento animal shelter:
We communicated last March, when you helped me get in contact with some Creative Paw graphic designers for a fundraiser we were doing for our City of Sacramento shelter. I wanted to follow-up with you, post event, to let you know how it went. First, I picked Kris Miller of attagirldesign from among many possibilities. It was a wonder to be turning people away, but Kris was definitely a great choice. She was just wonderful to work with. I loved the designs she did for us (a poster and a postcard mailer). Both when she presented me with the logo, then with the poster design, I had this “idea” of what it might look like, but when I opened the file, it was so much more than I could have hoped for. I think I cried both times. They were just so beautiful!
As people inexperienced in holding fundraising events, I think Kris’ design gave us so much more credibility and really got us off on the right foot. Our event turned out great. We raised over $8,000 for our pet food bank and reached out to a whole new group of folks who were previously unfamiliar with our shelter.
Thank you for your wonderful idea of Creative Paw. I have told many people about it. As I probably expressed to you early on, my only difficulty was in using the database to search for people and getting responses. It wasn’t until you proactively (and kindly) sent the request out to every one that I started to get responses.
Here are some pictures from our event: http://creaturedoublefeature.shutterfly.com/
Thanks again for Everything.

P.S. This week, I hope to start working with Sue Sherman (another CP volunteer) to start developing a communication/marketing plan for the shelter!
Thank you, Kris and Sue!

Description of organization:
We’re an emerging grassroots organization working to combat puppy mills in Iowa. Iowa ranks #3 in the nation with more than 400 mills and more than 23,000 dogs in those mills! We’re in the process of generating our 501c3 non-profit status application.
Description of your project:
We worked this past year to get a new law passed that provides for better oversight of commercial dog-breeders, aka puppy mills. Now we need to educate other Iowans on our puppy mill problem, growing our grassroots membership to empower us to get to the next level of fighting this problem! We need help with getting the word out!! We envision ad campaigns for several outlets; TV, newspaper, radio, billboards. We have powerful pictures and undercover video of mills in Iowa. These would be great to use in this campaign.
I also have one short-term project where I need ads designed to run in several newspapers Sept. 12-19.
